Humble Bundle 2 [game sales]

December 14, 2010 1 comment

My morning has been sabotaged by microscopic bacteria and the invading titian horde! The Humble Bundle 2 is now available for [insert your price here]. It contains Braid, Machinarium, Cortex Command, Osmos, and Revenge of the Titians. Most of the developer’s websites are down are ridiculously slow at the moment due the attention the humble bundle is receiving. Also note that it may take some time for your key to be sent to you, so don’t unload a bunch of emails asking where it is. All are great games well worth more than you’ll probably pay for them. ;] And remember part of your money goes to charity!

On a side note: Puppy Games still has their bundle going (just visit their website and the offer should pop up) so you can have a complete Puppy Games collection by buying both bundles!

[Update] Minecraft; I told you so.

Like I said wayyyy back, Minecraft would get big one day. Now look at this! And this! And the official post by Notch! It’s all starting to come together for this dedicated indie developer. Just a few months ago he was stressed because he had just quit his full time job plus moving to a new home. Now he’s getting some mainstream publicity thats driving up the sales! An important note to take from his Tumblr post…”Mobs will come later on, and when they’re in, the game will officially be in beta, and the price will go up to 14.95 euro.” Sounds like you only have a month or so before you can snag Minecraft for half price if you haven’t already!

[game sales] Torchlight for five bucks!

Yummm! Steam’s Weekend Deal is Torchlight! Grab it now for only five bucks! This has been on my watch list since it’s release. It’s a really, really great RPG. It honestly feels like a modern Diablo. So it will keep you at bay until Diablo three is finally released. But Torchlight isn’t a copy cat, it has plenty of nifty features such as retiring old characters and using them for new ones. There’s tons of content here so five bucks is a steal! The only downer is that there is no multi-player support, but Runic games has stated that their next project is an MMO version of Torchlight. Thankfully it will be free to play, but with in game items that can be purchased with real cash. I’m already looking forward to it!
